Vacation Cancelled … Now What?… Oktoberfest Colours and the Home Office.
Many of us will work from our home offices for months to come. Maybe it’s time to make the home office a more permanent part in our homes and with new colours.
It’s been tough to keep upbeat this week. There is an abundance to worry about between this smoke/fog and rising Covid count.
To top matters off, they cancelled Oktoberfest. The world’s largest fall fair has only been cancelled 24 times in its 209 year history.
The good news is we can paint our offices any colour we want.
So why not bring the colours of our favorite vacation and travel destinations home?
There is a colossal world of colour. From the chili pepper reds of Mexico to the soft lavenders of southern France, the world’s colour pallet is mixed, entertaining and intriguing.
We’ve teamed up with Sam Parsons, the Architect and Designer Representative of Cloverdale Paint in Victoria, BC.. Every two weeks for the next 6 months Sam and White Knight Painting will bring you colour and design influences from around the world.
Second on our itinerary is the city of Munich and Oktoberfest. The colours of Oktoberfest range from the golden ambers of the fall leaves to the snow-capped peaks of the Alps framed in the soft blue of the sky.
We are blessed in Victoria to have superb craft breweries. Let’s support local business, pick up some local craft beer and have our own Oktoberfest. (Within your small and carefully selected bubble). But before your guest comes over, pour your favorite beer into a chilled glass, take it to your home office. Take some time for yourself, and while you’re savoring the colour, aroma and flavors of your beverage look around your workspace and imagine it in the colours of your favorite travel destination.
Smoke filled skies and Covid worries be dammed. New Office Colours (and a good beer) can lift your spirits higher.
