White Knight Painting’s Annual Charity Paint Give-Away Finalist
White Knight Painting is committed to being involved with and giving back to the communities that we work in. One of the ways we do this is our annual Charity Paint Give-Away. This year our foreman and painters, Mike, Dave, James, Colin, Daniel, Joe Jeff and Myself will be helping to lift the spirits of the residents and care providers at MacDonald House.
The Cridge Centre for the Family runs Macdonald House, a ten bed residence for survivors of a traumatic brain injury. The ten men reside in a fourteen year old home that was built and operates through a partnership with the British Columbia Housing Management Commission. The residence is located in Saanich West, integrated within a suburban neighbourhood.
Through a compliment of 25 full-time, part-time and casual staff, the men are supported to enjoy a quality of life that they want to experience. Most of the men work or volunteer in the Greater Victoria region, allowing them to participate and contribute to their community. As well, the men are supported in pursuing a variety of leisure opportunities that they may enjoy individually or in a group setting.
Funding support for the operation of The Cridge Brain Injury Residence is provided by the Brain Injury program of the Vancouver Island Health Authority and through the generous donations Cridge supporters.
